Here we will show you how to strip modern car paint from the bonnet of a Toyota Corona using the Cooper's Strip Club paint stripping products.
Background
Many cars during the 90’s suffered from paint failure, it is believed by many to be because of the introduction of low VOC paints that weren’t yet up to the job.
In this case the 2K clear coating has failed on the bonnet & the blue basecoat underneath had faded to such an extent that it looked like steel

How to Strip Paint & Body Filler

Ford F100
See us strip the paint off the hood of this classic 1956 Ford F100 Pickup Truck.

The Truck is in quite good condition considering what it was made for. But as we strip we uncover some previous damage where it looks like the top was stoved in and then repaired with a grinder and a huge amount of body filler (Bondo) before it was repainted.

So in effect we had two projects:
1: Stripping Multiple layers of paint from the curved sides of the hood.
2: Stripping a huge amount of body filler.

Watch how easy it was to strip the many coats of paint and spray putty from the bonnet of this 1969 E Type Jaguar using Cooper’s Paint & Varnish Stripping Products

Using Cooper’s
See how after only 20 minutes of applying a few light applications of Cooper’s Stripper we were easily able to remove all the multiple coats of paint and most of the spray putty down to the steel in one go
Then watch how we removed the remaining spray putty by scrubbing another application of stripper with Steel Wool
Finally watch how we remove all the soft residues of old paint and putty using Cooper’s Flusher, the result being a surface that’s ready for a new finish without any sanding being required (unless you’ve uncovered damage that 1st needs repairing)
