No Sanding – So Easy!

An online bargain or an inherited piece of furniture covered in a finish that just has to go. Stripping it seemed like a great idea at the time, it can’t be that hard.

After the many hours of surviving the stink and chemical burns from using a regular paint stripper, you realize you now need to spend many more dusty hours of toxic sanding to get anywhere near a result you’re happy with, you find yourself wondering why you ever started.

With Coopers you’ll get the results you always wanted without the pain of sanding, why sand when the person who made your project sanded it for you? Simply dissolve the old finish with Cooper’s Stripper then rinse the surface clean with Cooper’s Flusher.

The result is a surface where the character (Patina) remains undamaged, unbleached or removed, which is exactly what a new finish needs if it going to look amazing.

With Coopers you’ll produce a surface that’s Clean, Dry and Absorbent, which is exactly what a new finish needs if it is to survive.

No Grain Raising

The Cooper’s System does not raise the grain due to there being no water in the Cooper’s Products or in the stripping process.

Any Paint - Any Varnish

Coopers has been used for stripping in the furniture industry for nearly 40 years, where you can safely and easily strip French Polish, Varnish, Shellac, Tung Oil, Danish Oil, Polyurethane, Lacquer, Two Pack Coatings, Stain, Lead Paint, Enamel Paint, Acrylic Paint, even Powder Coating.

Any Surface

Strip any of these finishes from any solid timber including Kauri, Rimu, Totara, Matai, Beech, Cedar, Redwood, Oregon, Huon pine, Tasmanian Oak, Jarrah, Baltic Pine, Oak, Walnut, Teak, Mahogany, Kauri, veneered surfaces, Ply Wood, Particle Board, Hard Board, MDF, even metal fittings and castings made from Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Steel and cast iron.

Economical - Time/Cost Saving

When it comes to time and money the good news is you’re going to save a lot of both! You’ll save time because you’re not going to be sanding and you’ll save money because a little Cooper’s goes a really long way, up to ten times the distance of a regular Paint Stripper.

Any Project

And when we say Furniture Stripping, we mean your valuable antiques, Dining Tables, Chairs, Welsh Dresser, Lounge Suites, Coffee Tables, Cabinets, Blanket Chests, Occasional Furniture, Lamp Stands, Book Cases and every other type of furniture you can imagine.

Environmentally Safer - Safe Lead Removal

The Cooper’s System does not pollute the environment, being wet and dustless, our specialist masking products completely contain all the old finish being stripped as well as any residual Stripper or Flusher, this means nothing escapes to harm our environment.

Easy to Use - Low Odour - Non Caustic

With Coopers you’ll get the results you always wanted without the pain of sanding, why sand when the person who made your project sanded it for you? Simply dissolve the old finish with Cooper’s Stripper then rinse the surface clean with Cooper’s Flusher.

The Stripper that gets it off everytime!

Lacquer off Mahogany table

Stripping lacquer off Mahogany Dining Table
Stripped Without Any Sanding
Finished with Moisturiser
Our founder must be getting old
Not only did Simon make the table back in 1982, but he also recently got to restore it
When he made the table for his parents back in 82, he made it from solid Mahogany and finished it with stain and lacquer (he knew no better)
The lacquer gave up a long time ago with the table having seen a lot of action including the sun over cooking one end of it
Fortunately, since making it, the Cooper’s Strip Club has been developed to restore it
See how quickly Cooper’s Stripper dissolved the old lacquer, allowing it to be easily removed and rinsed clean with Cooper’s Flusher
The system allowed us to reuse the sanding that was done in 82, meaning No Sanding was required
This time instead of repeating the mistake of lacquer, we finished the stripped Mahogany with Cooper’s Moisturiser
See how the Cooper’s Moisturiser creates a ‘living finish’ that brings out the timbers natural colour that feels like silk, and everyone loves silk
