Stripping Cedar

Cedar timber used as an external cladding is a beautiful and durable solution, so long as the finish is maintained and therein lies the rub. It is not widely known that external timber surfaces should be cleaned annually and additional applications of the finish applied approximately every two years (See Manufacturers recommendation). The trick is not to let the finish fail, but unfortunately the reality is we inherit the previous owners maintenance….

A failed finish needs to be removed, Sanding off an Oil Stain or Varnish cleanly is near on impossible but mind numbing for sure. The Cooper’s DIY Stripping System, strips tinted exterior varnish and those deep penetrating oil stains easily leaving your cedar timber clean and ready for a new finish without needing to sand
